I stole this from my friend Jude (because her post said I could!!)

Because we never really know each other as well as we think, in response to this post I'd like you to ask a question. Anything about which you are curious, anything you feel you ought to know about me. Silly, serious, personal, fannish. Ask away. Then copy this to your own journal, and see what people don't know about you.

Lets see just how many readers I have...

  1. Why did you move to Seattle, and do you like it?

  2. Yeah, I have a question. When you bath your son and wash his hair are you going to make really strange hairdoes for him with the shampoo like every other parent and post pics? I personally am looking forward to this, but I am old and like that sort of thing.

  3. J- I came out in college when I met my first gurlfriend :). I was never sure before I met her that I was actually a lesbian- she helped me realize it- BOY DID SHE HELP ME!

  4. e,m, and the liitle man- We moved to Seattle so that Mindi could find a good job in her field. I NEVER thought I would leave Chicago- I loved it there. I love Seattle- honestly, it is because of the trees (it is the emerald city after all, I know, how touristy of me). The only thing that I don't like is not the abundance of rain, but rather, the lack of snow, and when there IS snow, then I hate the lack of snowplows...

  5. Oh Cedarflame- Don't worry R, I won't let you down! Right now the little guy doesn't have enough hair for shampoo do's but he will, oh yes, he will!

  6. I hear you on the lack of snowplows. I used to live in Colorado. Although, as a teacher, the lack of snowplows allows a lot of snowdays when there is only 1 or 2 inches on the ground. So, maybe I'm not that annoyed by it.

  7. Waht did you want to be when you grew up (as a kid/teen)?
    And what are you now?

  8. Can you list 3 life-changing or life-altering moments/events that have had a huge impact on you?

  9. Why don't you post more pics of your dog? How's he doing with th baby? Sorry I guess that's 2 questions but hey, what can I say? I cheat. :)

  10. al2o3cr - dana - Lets see, I think that I wanted to be a pediatrician... I ended up going to school for massage therapy. I worked as a massage therapist for a few years before moving to Seattle. My Massage Therapy license is (obviously) not valid in WA state, so I am currently waitressing, and I actually really like it!

  11. tiff- man, tough question...
life-altering... Ok, when I was in first grade, my family had a french exchange student live with us for 2 weeks. He was my brother's age (3 years older than myself). The 2 of them were rough-housing and I got whacked with a big pillow, sending my head into the wooden arm of a chair. I got a nasty gash above my eye that bled profusely. When I went to my mother, crying and bloody I was the one that got repremanded. I didn't realize it at the time, but it was the first occurance in which my mother reacted to a situation that I (as a mom now) would react very differently too. I would have repremanded the boys, not me. After that day, I began to see a trend. When my big scary brother told me he wanted to carry me by my ankles, then accidentaly (?) dropped me on my head and chipped my tooth, I got yelled at for it. When my dad shut the trunk door on my head, I got yelled at for standing too close. When my dad fed me a HUGE strawberry shake in an effort to soothe my upset stomache, and I proceeded to puke all over him in the car, I got yelled at for it. When I had an ear infection, my mom told me to "tough it out" at 8 years old, and when I got a BAD UTI in High School, my mom said, there is no need to go to the doctor, here, I will buy you some cranberry juice... I ended up going to the emergency room myself for that UTI in which I was peeing Pure blood at that point, and I paid the fee myself... Ok, that was longer than I expected... The next life changing event was my breast reduction in September 2005- it was by far the best thing that I have ever done just for myself! Anyone with HUGE TITS that doesn't want huge tits- get the surgery- it is sometimes covered by insurance and the scars are not nearly as bad after healing as one might think... The 3rd life-changing event, was, hands down, the birth of our son!
    Phew! That was a doozie!!!

  12. ninefirefly- lol why don't I post pictures of my dog? well, honestly I have a tendancey to take more pictures of my cats... But I will take that as a request and keep my eye out for a good doggy photo op... :) As far as how is he? He is great- he wants to give the baby lots of kisses but we don't want him kissing harris' face just yet. the cats are curious too. no one has shown any aggression or anything which is great :)

  13. Thanks girl, I'm a sucker for a cute doggie! :) As for the face licking, I totally agree, it's gross and completely uncalled for. When our little sprout is born I have ugly visions of my pug's tongue being a major part of her little world. Ew.

  14. If you had to live on just five foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?

  15. Thanks Lynn. That's crazy about your mom - I know you probably have learned so much about how NOT to parent. I'm sorry you had to go through that though.

K wants to get a breast reduction - they're massive. seriously. she wears sports bras all the time, and just really wants to get it done. I haven't been keen on the idea, not knowing anyone that has gone through it. But, I'll tell her that it was a really good thing in your experience. I know she'd like to have my support about about it.

  16. So tell me, what's the craziest thing you and Mindi have ever done together?

And what would you have named the baby if it had been a girl?

And have YOU ever pooped in the tub? xoxo

  17. reproducinggenius- If I had to live on 5 foods for the rest of my life they would be...

    1. cinnamon toast crunch cereal
    2. skim milk
    3. pineapple
    4. chunk cheese (sharp cheddar)
    5. honey oat bread

I figured you meant individual items as opposed to answers such as Pasta Primavera or something :)

  18. jude- the craziest thing that mindi and I have ever done- have a friggin baby yeh?! *wink

I can't tell you what we would've named a girl- we still might have one! You will find out then ;)

And, have I ever pooped in the tub? Well, um, I, uh.... plead the fifth on this one teehee.....

You know I love to hear from you- thanks for leaving a comment!
